WHO WE ARE

Liberty Church is located in Shrewsbury, MA.  We are an ethnically and socially diverse community, representing a variety of ages and religious backgrounds.  At the heart of everything we do is a desire to be Christ-centered both individually and corporately.  Our mission is to love people to Christ.  Whether it’s one of our weekend services or Liberty Life during the week, we pray you feel loved and walk away changed through dynamic and engaging worship, relevant messages from God’s Word, and connection through relationships.  Join us for our Saturday evening (6 p.m.), Sunday morning (9 & 11 a.m.) or on a Wednesday (6 p.m.-dinner; 7 p.m.- classes & Kids Life); we hope to see you soon!

MEET OUR PASTOR

Thank you for visiting the Liberty Church web site!  My story is like many others; I’ve been changed through the love of Jesus Christ.  After years of running from God, I came to the end of myself and found God there ready to give me His love and grace, which I so desperately needed.  For the past 20 years, I’ve had the joy of traveling and ministering in over 45 countries.  I’ve been a youth pastor in Singapore, a missionary in Central Europe and the Pacific Islands, a pastor in the Chicago area, and now the Lead Pastor of this amazing group of people called Liberty Church.  God has also blessed me with a beautiful wife and ministry partner, and two incredible kids.  I’m known for my love of iced coffees, 80’s music, being highly relational, funny, caring, and someone who is passionate about God’s Word and applying it to daily living.  I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf and tennis, and riding dirt bikes.  My prayer and desire is for you to encounter the awesome love of Christ and enjoy being a part of His great family.

OUR HISTORY

In 1997, the church formerly known as Mount Zion Assembly became Liberty Assembly with about a dozen people as their church body. Just two years later, 13 acres of land were purchased on Route 20 in Shrewsbury in order to have a more central location and build a 400-seat auditorium. The facility was completed in December 2001, and the first service for Liberty Church was held just one month later with around 350 people in attendance. In October 2009, Liberty Church finished the expansion of our new facility, which included many additional rooms, a large children’s area, and a new sanctuary with a seating capacity for up to 1,000 people. Currently, Liberty has grown to a church community with more than 1,000 people in attendance, offering three weekend services, Liberty Life (a midweek service with dinner and Bible study), and more importantly room for continued growth and a place where we will continue to love people to Christ.
